Ali Salman is a collaborator on this project. Ali was born in Baghdad, Iraq in 1960. He attended the University of Baghdad where he received a Bachelor’s in Biology. He worked for more than twenty years in the hospitals and medical labs across Iraq. His passion was always in arts and culture with a deep interest in painting from the time he was in primary school. He later began to explore and excel in ornament and glass etching. In addition to his art, he is a prolific writer and has published in Arabic in the fields of literature, social studies, and civilization, as well as a book on Arabic grammar. He is currently a contributor and editor for multiple publications on art and culture in Iraq. He is currently living in Philadelphia with his family.
